The Magician Card No 1 of the Major Arcana

What does the Magician Card mean to me? Well that depends on where it turns up in a spread. First look at the number. No 1 is generally about the individual, leadership, confidence, new beginnings. The Magician has one had pointed to the heaven and one to the earth and all the elements represented in front of him. He is resourceful and can make his ideas a reality by taking the initiative and using all the resources at his disposal. In a career spread it can indicate the client is about to get a new job which may be a leadership role or even a sales role as the Magician looks like he can command an audience. Generally speaking wherever the Magician turns up it may indicate that the client should take the initiative in any situation and not wait for things to happen around them. As a person the Magician can represent a confident, assertive, charismatic person who possibly likes to be the centre of attention but is very gifted with good communication, quick thinking and plenty of charm. If the Magician is an outcome card it often indicates a positive outcome where the clients desires are achieved.

In terms of the Fools Journey. This is the first step in spiritual development as The Fool becomes aware of his physical surroundings and resources and how he can use and interact with the world.
