Your Personality Card in The Tarot

This is a repeat of a previous post but I thought it would be useful for all the new people who have liked and are following my page. (a very big thank you for your support!) The Personality Card is worked out by adding up the numbers in your date of birth as shown in the photo. The number then needs to be between 1 - 22 (the number of cards in the Major Arcana including The Fool). If it works out to be Number 22 then your Card is The Fool Card.If its larger you need to reduce it further to obtain the number between 1 and 22. The Soul card is the reduced number from the original number. Sometimes they are the same. If we look at another example e.g someone born 23.2.2002 = 23 + 2+ 2002

The Hanged Man 12

The Hanged Man No 12 3 might seem a strange number to assign to a card that looks more like self sacrifice (9). However it is the power of the 1 focussing on personal spiritual development and the ability to weight things up and reason(2) that results in a new outlook and rebirth - the number 3. 3 is the number of creative thought. When the Hanged Man turns up in a reading it does say standing still and contemplating where you are will actually lead to progress. It is inspiration and awareness from doing nothing but receiving enlightenment. Often the hanged man is depicted with the halo of illumination. In some decks coins are falling from his pockets. This card represents a sacrifice of so

The Death Card 13

The Death Card 13/4 This is the third time I have tried to post this and each time it has been lost. I guess the universe has decided I needed to refine what I am saying and how I am saying it! The Death Card really is the most feared card in the deck. It is the card of change and transformation, endings and completions. In Numerology the 13/4 also means radical change. The 1 represents the self (1) which through reasoning process and thoughts (3) leads to a new state of firm foundations and stability (4). For most when the Death Card turns up the person is well aware that something is coming to an end. Sometimes it can signify a physical death or extreme ill health but usually not for the

Pick a Card a Day

Pick a card a day A good way to get a feeling for what each card represents is to just pick one card from the deck at the beginning of the day. Asking "What will my day be like? or What experiences will I have today. Write down your thoughts from the images and the number assigned to the card. If its a minor arcana card look at the element it represents - remember wands - action/business, cups - emotion/relationships, swords - decisions, thoughts, pentacles - money/work. At the end of the day reflect on your experiences. What happened? make a note of this experience next to the card you chose in the morning. Build up a list of the cards and their meaning to you. Take particular note if you

The Temperance Card 14

Temperance 14/5 Temperance is a great card for warning us about the effects of excesses and of getting our lives out of balance. the 14 is a karmic number which is saying change your way of living (1) through a new foundation (4) to bring about a positive change 5. Too much self indulgence (1) can result in instability physically and in terms of stability (4). The 5 is the number of change. Temperance here means moderation by mixing and balancing elements in your life. Looking at the card she is pouring water from one vessel to another - one foot on the land and one in the water. The water signifying emotion and the need for balance in life to achieve harmony and peace of mind. On a practic

The Devil Card 15

The Devil Card 15 This is another card that tends to frighten people with its images. The reversed pentogram is often featured on this card. The correct interpretation of this is the subordination of spirit and the higher functions of the mind (the highest point being inverted) under the four elements. This leads to a materialistic focus. In addition to this usually two figures are seen bound to each other and are subordinate to the devil. These represent bonds that are hard to break or may represents old habits, desires or material ambitions that keep us stuck where we are. Anger and resentment is often experienced by the client when this card shows up. It is all about issues of commitment

The Tower 16

The Tower No 16 Another one that looks a bit scary. The visual image of the Tower is of lightning striking a tower with people flying out of the windows to their deaths. The Tower represents our ego and the small windows our narrow view of the world or our situation. When the Tower turns up we are forced to re-evaluate things. There is often something that comes to us as a shock and sometimes it can manifest as a physical accident that causes us to rethink our lifestyle and situation. We may feel that whatever we think about ourselves or our relationship or career seems to suddenly feel like a lie. Change is forced upon us, we have to face things head on and need to rebuild our lives from t

The Moon Card 18

The Moon Card 18 The Moon card is very deceptive and has many faces to interpret. On one hand the Moon represents potential yet to be revealed, secrets, intuition. Sometimes it can indicate deception or illusion as things aren't quite as they appear in the dim light of the moon. Depression, anxiety, mood swings and fear are often associated with this card. The Sun Card 19 This is another beautiful card full of positivity, light and optimism. The child represents joy and adventure. The horse progress towards goals. The Judgement Card 20

The Judgement Card 20 This card often represents renewal, regeneration and awakening. Its not really a new beginning as such but more of an awakening or awareness of something that you have always had and this creates the new beginning. When this card appears you may reflect on the past and assess where you are now. You should be feeling happy about where you are and look forward to a new beginning. This car can also represent renewed health or spiritual wellbeing. Keyword Assessment, positive outcome. Reversed: You may feel unsatisfied with the outcome and feel that it is unfair. You may experience regret or remorse. It is necessary to accept that nothing could have been done to change the

Pick a Card a Day

A great way to learn the Tarot and to gain a feel for the meaning of each card is to pick one card from a tarot deck at the beginning of the day each day. Asking "What will my day be like? or "What experiences will I have today?" Write down your thoughts from the images and the number assigned to the card. If its a minor arcana card look at the element it represents - remember wands - action/business, cups - emotion/relationships, swords - decisions, thoughts, pentacles - money/work. At the end of the day reflect on your experiences. What happened? Make a note of this experience next to the card you choose in the morning. Build up a list of the cards and their meaning to you. The Justice Card No 11

The Justice Card No 11 in the Major Arcana When Justice turns up there can be a life altering decision to be made. The scales of Justice indicates it will be a fair and positive outcome and is often associated with legal matters and court cases but sometimes it represents just a strong sense of doing the right thing when facing a difficult decision or situation. You may feel you need to be the one to make a situation right where there is unfairness going on. You may be involved in arbitration or an emotional argument to set things straight. Keywords Justice, legal matters and reason. The 11/2 here is a spiritual messenger. The 11 or higher vibration indicates the ability to influence others

The Wheel of Fortune No 10

This card represents the working of fate in our lives. The symbology on the card is complex and you will need to research it as there is just too much information for here. The goddess Fortuna is usually indicated as are the four elements in the representation of animal symbols associated with Astrology and the Living Creatures of Ezekiel often appear on different versions of this card in various decks. I can say that the number 10 assigned to The Wheel of Fortune reduces back to a 1 meaning new beginnings and a new start in some way. The World card is a chance event or a change for the better brought your way by the universe. This turn for the better is mostly unexpected and out of your han
