The Aces in the Tarot

The Minor Arcana cards represent everyday events in the physical world. They represent our input, actions and influence in circumstances compared with the Major Arcana cards which mostly represent the universe’s hand in our lives and the spiritual lessons and growth we are required to undergo.

Aces in The Tarot: The Aces stand for unity and undivided energy of the suit. The Aces are number 1s – the beginning of the expression of the energy of the suit. Undivided power and the character of the element it is associated with is the nature of the Aces. Wands represent Fire, Cups Water, Swords Air and Pentacles Earth. As they are the first cards of the suit they also represent the beginnings of things, new projects and new ideas.

The Aces in the Tarot also align with standard playing cards. Hearts – Cups, Diamonds – Pentacles, Swords- Spades and Clubs – Wands. If you don’t own a Tarot deck you can still read cards using a standard deck and the meanings of the minor arcana cards and court cards.

Drawing an Ace today means you are on a new journey. If its cups – its your emotional wellbeing and fulfilment, Wands – a new business plan or maybe a creative or business project, Pentacles – money – also possibly a new job or payment of some sort and Swords – a new plan or decision involving calculation and use of logic. Have a great day!
