The Fool Card – No 0 in the Major Arcana
The Fool is usually depicted as a hobo, homeless person, gypsy or a vagabond. He wears ragged clothes, no shoes, and carries a pole on his back with tiny bag hanging from it. Representing his free spirit and literal lack of "baggage" in life.
The Fool card is the first card of the major Arcana in the tarot and represents the spirit of adventure and risk taking. In a sense it is all about new beginnings. Its being prepared to take a leap of faith into the unknown and trusting that the universe will protect and provide for you. You don’t know what to expect but you with have the certainty that you will be okay. This card shows good luck, having faith in the future and the spirit of adventure for your next journey in life. Looking at the number zero it is like a hole ready to be filled with life’s experiences and so the journey of the Fool begins as he starts to experience his world with the the eyes of innocence before life experience. He has a long road ahead but is open to anything. When the Fool appears – take that risk and leap of faith, the time is right and the sun is shining on you.
